Hi, Hoping for some help...

...We have recently purchased a Polycom CX5500 and it seems to work very well except for 1 issue.  When connected to the CX5500 I am unable to make a Skype for Business to Skype (standard) video call, the video call rings on my Skype for Business Account but it doesn't ring on the target Skype (standard) account.

Has anyone else see this issue?  An ideas on what could be causing this issue or how I can resolve it?

Thanks

Adam

Hello Adam,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Are you using the USB cable between the PC and the CX5500 or are you trying to make a call via the Phone part of the CX5500?

Please provide a few more details how you are utilizing the device.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

I am using the USB to connect the CX5500 to my laptop, I am then using Skype for Business 2015 to make a video call to a (standard) Skype contact.

My Skype for Business recognised the CX5500  and is select as the camera, speaker and audio.  My skype for Business attempts to ring the (standard) Skype contact but it never rings on their Skype account.

Thanks

Hello Adam,

I can only guess if you are already running the latest 1.1.4 Software but other than that the Skype for Business Client and Skype for Business 2015 has not yet been officially tested and certified by Polycom and therefore is not officially supported.

The device itself is provided with its relevant drivers by the Microsoft operating system and the Skype client so I can only suggest to open a support ticket with Microsoft directly.
