Hi all,

Has anyone had success with signing in a VVX 411 to Teams. I believe its possible according to:

https://www.polycom.com/content/dam/polycom/common/documents/faqs/polycom-phones-and-microsoft-teams...

I've not had success with either option1 User Credentials method nor 3 Web Sign-in method.

I believe the Web Sign-in method produces some clues as to what's going on but given there aren't any documents to refer to I am left guessing what to do next.

When signing in with Web Sign-in method i am provided with a code on the phone screen and then enter this on the site http://aka.ms/sphone. This works well and I'm prompted for credentials as expected but am then stopped in my tracks with what looks like a O365 company portal policy but I think its more related to Azure Active Directory admin centre Enterprise Applications. I think i need to enter a Application in here and grant access to it. Has anyone come across this before. Picture attached.

OK got to the bottom of this one. The following link on 3PIP phones in general signing into Teams can be found here: https://dmunified.com/2019/11/28/using-3pip-phones-with-skype-for-business-online-or-microsoft-teams...

The missing item which now seems obvious is that a Tenant Global Admin needs to click on the following Poly approval link. https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/adminconsent?client_id=a850aaae-d5a5-4e82-877c-ce54ff916282...

A Global Admin will then be prompted to accept a bundle of permissions to be granted. This then enable users to sign in on the VVX411 or other 3PIP phones.

Hope this helps someone else.

Hi Simmo,

thanks for your posts with accurate description.

I tried to follow your instructions, clicking the link you provided but no good results for my VVX411 signing into Teams.

Both the authentication modes are not woking: the phone screen shows "Fetching user certificate" for a long time and then the "Authentication failed" message comes up.

I'm currently using the last firmware version 6.4 but I have also tried with 5.9.

Do you have any good suggestion?

Thanks a lot in advance for you help.

Hello @Marco Sardi ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Our partner Microsoft actively blocks the Phones User Agent using versions higher than what they see as certified software.

UC Sofware 6.3.x is the latest certified

Jan 17, 2017 Question: How can I troubleshoot simple Skype for Business, Office365 or Teams issues?

Resolution: Have a look => here <=

the above can help you to troubleshoot the issue. It may be as simple as the phone not having an NTP Time Server.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Dear Steffen,

thank you very much for your help.

I downgraded the firmware version to 6.3.1 and the phone instantly connected the profile.

Much appreciated.

Best regards,

Marco
