VVX 500 Voicemail Notification has stopped working

Hi all, thanks in advance for your assistance. I'm still a newbie with all of this UC tech so bare with me. We are running Skype for Business on Prem with approximately 150 VVX 500 Handsets in the company all running on software version 5.3.1.0436 and since they were installed December 2015 we have had no issues until recently. The envelope icon would previously display a number if there was a new voicemail and this is no longer happening. We are all still receiving an email in outlook so we can play back the voicemails this way but we would like to get back the notifications on the phones. As a test i updated the software on my individual handset to 5.4.0.5841 but this didn't help. If anyone has any suggestions of what i could try to resolve this, it would be much appreciated.

Neither of these are currently supported versions so please update to 5.4.5 (not 5.5.0) and test this again.
