I have question about the new VVX UC software 5.8.0 .
I am currently working with a VVX 500 phone, which I have in Skype mode and 2 more SIP lines, when I receive a call from a Skype client, the Skype client can not see my video, this should work, the Skype client should I watch my video? I have a USB camera running on the VVX 500.  can you help me with this question??

Hello @Sandersmn03,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As already explained as a reply to your private message please ensure you always check the FAQ's to ensure a question is not already answered.

The community's Skype for Business FAQ contains this post here:

Jan 26, 2016 Question:Can I make Video Calls between a VVX phone and a Client on a Lync Server / Skype for Business server ?

Resolution: Please check => here <= for details on Video Calls

The above leads to here:

...

  1. Video calls in Skype for Business or Skype Online environment are not supported due to lack of support to H.264 or RTV in UCS 5.0.0. These includes calls between VVX phones.

At present no available camera supports Video Calls on Skype for Business using compatible VVX phones.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
