I am experiencing an issue when dialing out from a polycom vvx300 phone with skype for business. The person on the distant end cannot hear what I am saying, but I can hear what they are saying. Then after about 30 seconds the call disconnects. I plug a softphone headset into my computer and the call completes just fine. I am only having issues on outbound calls, and when using my Polycom VVX300 phone.

software version 5.7.0.11768 and logs are below of when this is happening.

Hello @ajlil-Marten,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

  • Did this issue only occur with the new 5.7.0 release or did you also see this in older releases?
    Can you downgrade to any other Version to verify this?

  • Any other Polycom phones in your organisation that work on the same software?

 

The VVX in question was purchased from WESTCON GROUP EUROPEAN OPERATIONS LTD back in 05/01/2016 so it is out of warranty but you can work with them on a PPI / Pay Per Incident ticket and get this into Polycom support.

This is happening on all Polycom VVX phones in our environment. We have phones on version 5.1.0.17325 and it is happening with them as well.

this needs to come into support as we need to look at the logs.

This is happening system wide, we do have a phone that is under warranty with a serial number of 64167F0B7E01 and I have a case open with support. Waiting on a tier 2 engineer to take a look.

What kind of switches and QoS do you have configured in your environment?  It sounds like it could potentially be a QoS issue.  For what it's worth, on our environment not only do we have QoS configured on all IDFs and MDFs, but across the WAN as well.  On individual ports, we found it necessary to configure the ports for dscp instead of cos.
