Hi Polycom Community,

Is Skype for Business (Cloud) video calls officially support on the VVX501 (with VVX camera) on software version 5.4.5.8201?  We've tested calling from/to a VVX501 with the camera but only had successful audio calls.  When trying to activate video we receive a generica 'Video Not Accepted' error.

Mostly default configuration VVX501.  Only changes were under Preferences -> Video Processing to enable Video and Auto Start video.

Hello Kyle Williams,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's Skype for Business FAQ contains this post here:

Jan 26, 2016 Question:Can I make Video Calls between a VVX phone and a Client on a Lync Server / Skype for Business server ?

Resolution: Please check => here <= for details on Video Calls

The above lists that only Video between VVX will work. You cannot call from a LYNC / Skype for Business client and have video.

Hi Steffen,

Thanks for the reply but that page isn't very clear.  It indicates video doesn't work on the Lync2010 client when using 5.0.0 but we are using SfB phones and talking to SfB clients.

Is there any plan or roadmap to support video?

HP Recommended

Hello Kyle Williams,

When using Skype for Business clients we do not support Microsofts H.264 SVC.

I am unable to talk publicly about the roadmap.

I suggest you check with your Polycom reseller.

The new conference Phone Polycom RealPresence Trio with the Visual+ is fully compatible with Skype for Business video.
