Hi everybody,
We are using a bunch of SoundStation2W here and we are quite happy with it but we are moving to Skype for Business and we are looking for the same kind of solution, i.e. a base station connected to the network and a wireless device.
Any thoughts ?
Thanks

Hello all,
Just to clarify.
The new RealPresence Trio offers either fixed Lan or a WiFi connectivity. It does require at least a local power source to power the unit via PoE.
It is not a cordless phone with a battery.
Polycom just launched the new VVX D60 Wireless Handset which works in conjunction with a VVX phone and is an IP based DECT solution with up to 5 Handset's.
The Handset's are cordless and can be charged on the IP Base or individual charges.

I browsed all the documents available on it and can't find a clear information about the ability to work like a SoundStation2W. The only hint is the first picture on the product page where we can see something like a base station.
Could you confirm me it can work like a SS2W ?
Thanks

The Trio 8800 is ethernet not wireless. It requires at least one ethernet(PoE) cable. The small box in the product photo is for enabling Video.
I am not aware of any phones like the SS2W for SfB. There are Bluthtooth speaker phones that can be used with a VVX500 or VVX600 or you could use a SfB certified ATA to connect your SS2W to SfB.

Thanks for all the details. It helps.
We are definitely looking for a wireless conferencing device. Having a battery would have been better but at least for few rooms, having just the power chords will be acceptable (we have some rooms with ethernet connectivity on a wall plug only while we have power available on the table itself so it will be ok).
I think we could also use an ATA device to reuse our SS2W with Lync but we'll have to test the overall quality of the calls.
Thanks again.
