Hello

Every morning I check our meeting rooms making sure the AV equipment is working ready for users. Recently in our office some of our 2490 sound structure 2 conference phones have got a blank display and requires a reboot to work again.

The conference phone still has a dial tone and can make calls. I've tried pressing a few buttons but nothing will recover the blank display until I pull the network cable out and reboot the device.

It doesn't happen every day, in fact there's no regular pattern but I'd say at least once a week.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this to happen? Could it be something internal?

I haven't got a telephony background so layman terms would be great : )

Thanks

Ryan

Hello Ryan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The 2490 is a Avaya branded Polycom manufactured phone and you may be better advised to liaise with Avaya directly in order to get more details.

I personally have not yet come across this issue yet.

Best Regards
