Our soundstation duo lost its firwmare and wouldnt boot.  I updated it using tfpt with a .sip.ld file.

Does contain code for both SIP and PSTN mode?  When the phone boots it says "server not found" - its connected now to a PSTN line.  How do I switch it to PSTN mode or do I need to load with different firmware.  I cant figure it out.....

Can someone pls provide a pointer....Thanks

Hello Steve1,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The SoundStation Duo Guide => here <= explains on page 2 how to setup the PSTN mode

In addition please consult the community's VoIP FAQ as this contains various informations regarding the SIP part of the SoundStation Duo.

It doesnt actually, " If your phone is set up to operate in PSTN mode, and no initial configuration
has been set, the first time the phone starts, you’ll be prompted to enter certain
information."

My phone is NOT set up to operate in PSTN mode and some initial configuration must already be set!

The question is how do I RECONFIGURE for PSTN mode?

Remember....the phone was bricked...wouldnt boot.  Had to load new FW, which I did, and it seems to be in SIP mode looking for a network and I dont want that.

I have read the FAQ, searched the users guides and forums a bit....to no avail.

If you could offer further guidance I would appreciate it.  It must be something simple I am missing.....

Hello Steve1,

Simply factory reset the phone.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
