We have inherited the above phone and line

How do we test the phone to determine if the line we have it on will accept multiple incoming calls so that we can accept and manage a conference call???

Hello Michael,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's PSTN FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 20, 2011 Question: How can I setup a conference via my Polycom Conference Phone?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

The easiest solution would be to ask whoever provides your phone line.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

A more practical test would be much more appreciated, like taking a couple of mobile phones into the room and calling the line and seeing if the thing actually will conference - which I have tried

Refer to your dealer (and this answer (refer to your dealer) which I have already found) is an impractical solution

Hello Michael,

I provided you with a link that explains how our phones utilize the Flash functionality to invoke a conference / 2nd call.

This post describes this in detail and highlights that the feature itself completely depends on the PABX / PSTN line.

You did not provide the detail that you had already tested this via some mobile phones in your original post and did not provide the outcome of the test in your latest post.

We from Polycom like any other hardware manufacturer can only explain how this functionality works, we cannot advise you if this should work on your phone line as we are unable to verify this.

If you would provide what who provides your phone line or PABX line other community members could maybe comment but due the lack of any information yet this is not very likely.

My signature states the official escalation path for support requests.

Best Regards
