I have a polycom soundstation (the original) that produces static when on a call. It is so bad that is difficult to hear the person on the other line speaking. Im not sure if this could possible be a common issue, as I have not seen anything about it anywhere. However if anyone can shed some light on my issue I would appreciate it.
Have you checked another phone on the same analog line yet?
Has the SoundStation always done that and have you tried to disconnect the line anfd just going off hook to check if it creates a noise?
If yes to above then I assume the SoundStation is somehow defective. To troubleshoot this please work with your Polycom reseller and ensure you are only using the Polycom supplied wiring.
