Hey everyone,

 

I have a polycom soundstation (the original) that produces static when on a call.  It is so bad that is difficult to hear the person on the other line speaking.  Im not sure if this could possible be a common issue, as I have not seen anything about it anywhere.  However if anyone can shed some light on my issue I would appreciate it.

Hello bhartley,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

  • Have you checked another phone on the same analog line yet?
  • Has the SoundStation always done that and have you tried to disconnect the line anfd just going off hook to check if it creates a noise?

If yes to above then I assume the SoundStation is somehow defective. To troubleshoot this please work with your Polycom reseller and ensure you are only using the Polycom supplied wiring.
