Polycom SoundStation2W = will be talking on phone and call will drop. On screen it shows  "Please Wait". The phone has its current upgrades/updates and a new battery. The phone is probably 3-5 yrs old .Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sounds like the phone is loosing registration from the base which can sometimes be caused by outside interference.

Is the base in the same room as the console?

Is this the only SS2W in the vicinity?

If the base units of two or more SS2W phones are too close together they can interfere with each other.

Give our support line a call for further suggestions and options.

Ken,

I was having the same issue and have been for some time where users would be in on a conference call, then it would drop the call, call back in and realize they were the only one that were dropped.  Then they come to me in frustration.  Plus we have multiple units and users are reporting the same thing.  Also, they are not in the same proximity to cause any interference.

I have updated the firmware, moved the base closer to the phone and still we have issues.  I just called the support line looking for tips and guides on how to improve or just something to try.  They were intent to blame it on the phone company.  Needless to say I was not satisfied with this answer as we know this is not the case.

Ken, I would really appreciate some help in this matter.

Let me know.

Thanks,

Clint
