I bought a two-line SoundPoint Pro nearly 13 years ago for business, and it still works for calls. However, the phone recently began making a distinctive and annoying low-level hum (sound) that only stops when the phone is unplugged. Is this normal or an indication that something is wrong?

I have this problem as well.  Would be interested if anyone has a solution - since it's really annoying.  Love the phone in every other way.

I know it's been a long time since you posted this, but I recently had the same problem and couldn't find any solutions online.  I did however eventually figure out the problem and fix it.

The problem is the Electrolytic Capacitor in the Power Brick has failed.

To fix it, you'll need:

Hello all,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

This is the official Polycom community and we cannot provide documentation to end users on how to attempt to repair devices due our own liability if anything would go wrong.

I am closing this post as the only way would be an official RMA
