I have the Sound station 2W matching console and base(serial numbers are the same). I have tried to upgrade the firmware by following the perscribed method. I am getting an error message Upgrade was NOT successful. Close the application and restart the upgrade process. When I go to this phone in the menu and check the versions I see CVM:UNAVAILABLE, DSP:S2W.CON.01.605, CPLD:1.06. When I try to exit from this screen, it is frozen. I have to manually reboot.
Once the SoundStation2W unit shows the CVM as unknown and/or toggles between unknown and a value the Unit cannot be recovered in the field and you need to raise an RMA via your reseller or call Polycom support.
