When dialing external numbers (usually to GoToMeeting's conference line, but sometimes to cell or home numbers), the phone "mis-dials" frequently.  This has happened multiple times.  The last 2 days I've had to redial the same number 10 times in one instance and 13 times in another before it called the correct number.  I've verified the screen display to ensure I entered the correct number.  The strange part is that it is actually connecting to random other numbers - I've ended up calling strangers' cell phones or random businesses by accident - so I know it's dialing the right number of digits.  It's just dialing the wrong numbers themselves?  This is becoming extremely frustrating.  Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions?

Hello jantle,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I assume when you are dialing internal numbers then the issue does not appear?

Who is providing the line to that phone or is it some kind of ATA ?

There is no difference for the phone if dialing an internal or an external number so the issue must be with either the PABX or the type of line you are using.

We've rarely had need to dial internally, so I've not happened to encounter it, but it's possible that it would do the same.

Hello jantle,

based on my experience I seriously doubt it.

You can easily test this and make some internal calls.

Also what is the serial number of this unit?

Hello jantle,

this unit is only a few months old so I can only suggest to move it to another analog line or test it at home or somewhere else with the same numbers to verify the unit is working.
