I have a Sound Station 2W and cannot get the conferencing to work either!! Did exactly as the manual said, but it doesn't work. Very frustrating! Jose, I experienced what you did trying to connect just 3 people. It puts one of the 3 on hold every time you press the conference button or "join" button. I tried pressing the conference button twice to join together all 3 of us, but it didn't work. Normally when using conferencing buttons you just have to press the conference button twice to get callers together. I don't know what to do? Any suggestions out there?

Hello @LGK,

welcome to the Polycom Community and I have moved your post from a unrelated SIP post as the SoundStation 2 is a analog phone.

The community's PSTN FAQ PSTN  contains this post here:

Oct 20, 2011 QuestionHow can I setup a conference or how many participants can be in the conference?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

As you can hopefully see and understand from the above it completely depends on what kind of line and who provides the line.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
