Hi
I have a SoundStation 2 connected directly to a UK BT landline. The Caller ID works. Is this model supposed to look up the number in the local Phone Book and display the name? It doesn't seem to work.
I noticed that the caller id displays a uk number like 07777-123456 with a dash. Entries in the phone book don't allow a dash from what i can see.
Any ideas?
thanks

Hello gurpal,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Please refrain from bumping a post as someone will answer if they have anything to add to a post.
If you require support please work via your Polycom Reseller.
I checked the Admin Guide => here <= and was unable to find any confirmation that a reverse lookup is working against the phone book.
Relevant quote from the Admin Guide:
Phone Book
You can use the Phone Book to store a local directory of 25 contacts. You can add, edit, delete, dial, or search any contact in this list using just a few key strokes.
In addition did you check the Admin Guide regarding the Caller ID setting? Did you set it to the correct standard? This is explained on page 28.
Limitations are highlighted => here <=
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi - yes the initial problem was corrected via the admin settings. It's a shame it doesn't support reverse lookup. I know it's not really meant to be used in a standalone capacity, but still seems like something simple that could have been tweaked in the firmware...
