Hello ERS,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

There are two cables you can use.

  • The "old" computer calling Kit which you describe

  • The "new" Mobile Phone calling kit.

The "old" phone cable had a microphone and a PC Speaker cable and the "new" either has an iPhone cable or an Android cable.

Please utilize the right cable.

I am also having the same issue. Can you give the part number for the iPhone cable connector which you describe as "The "new" Mobile Phone calling kit" .. The y-shaped connector is not working as described by other users.

Agreed, you will need a 2.5mm male TRS to 3.5mm (1/8 inch) TRRS male cable (2457-19047-001) to  connect from the Polycom to your iPhone.  But wait, on newer iPhone that only have a Lightning port (iPhone X), you will also need a Lightning to 3.5mm female adapter cable.  Warning - many of these adapter found on Amazon, etc are only wired to allow AUDIO OUT to speakers.  Here we need AUDIO INPUT coming from a microphone or in this case our mobile phone!  The only two manufactures I've found that work for audio input are genuine Apple adapter (flimsy) or Labobbon (X001NMR0ZN).  By the way, on the Polycom cable, be sure to connect to the white connector at the "Y" splitter (printed "for iPhone" on the side).
Happy trails,  Michael
