Hello,

I’m working with an analog Polycomm Soundstation2. I’m trying to conference multiple parties by dialing out and am unable to do so. After conecting with the first party, I press the party button, the screen reads flash, and the current number goes on hold. After dailing the second number, I hit Add. When I do this, I lose the hold and the first party comes back on.

Is this an issue with the phone, or perhaps our PBX (not sure what system we use presently)?

Thanks for any insight

Mark Kraemer

Hello mkraemer,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Once the SoundStation 2 can place a call on hold every enhanced functionality is done by the PABX itself as the Soundstation has no build in facilitys like it's bigger SIP Variants.

Please check with your PABX Manufacturer as you may have to use a Star/Hash Code to enable this feature and only they will be able to confirm.

Best Regards

One more wrinkle.

It turns out we are not running it through a PBX. It's going straight to an analog phone line. How does that change my possible solutions?

Hello Mark,

yet again the same answer. You need to speak to your PSTN Provider if they allow a conference and how to enable this.

Best regards
