We have a Soundstation 2. When first plugged in, it works properly, a call can be made and connects fine. But if the line is diconnected, or mis-dialed originally, the phone will not, despite pressing and buttons, return to dialtone until either the phone is disconnected from power or the telephone line is disconnected itself.

 

I verified the issue is not on the analog line with a test set. And can replicate the issue by simply pressing the button to get dialtone and then pressing it again to hang up. Only to get the time-out chime on the line. 

 

Any help would be appreciated, as the phone number for support disconnected me multiple times.

Is this a brand new unit or a used unit ?

 

If used how old is the unit and did it work prior to testing the issue you described?

I believe the unit is new but I believe it was purchased quite a while ago and not really used. I believe it worked for some period of time and then just stopped.

Has anyone else noticed an issue with the phone not releasing dialtone or is it most likely a defective unit?
