Hi Intern!

Usually this problem results when the analog line you're plugging into is routing through a non-POTS line.

The way to test this is to plug the phone into a faxline, or a phone line that does not rout through the PBX (if you are not sure, ask your network admin where these are located in your building).

If the phone receives a dialtone when on a faxline then that is an indication that the phone is functioning properly. The next step is typically to run cable and install a POTS line in the room that you wish to use the Soundstation2W in.

If the phone still does not receive a dialtone when plugged into a faxline, that is an indication that the phone is defective and needs to be replaced. If that is the case, we can advise on getting the phone setup for RMA if you call into Tech Support at 888-248-4143. There may or may not be a charge associated with replacing a phone if the phone is outside of its warranty.

Hope this helps you out!
