We just purchased a VTX1000 it came with a subwoofer.  I'm not sure what it is for, no sound comes out during a call, but if I do a test thru admin settings I get tones.

Steve,

 

From VTX1000 datasheet: "Subwoofer for audio extension down to 80 Hz, which provides clearer, lifelike sound". Using a larger speaker it gives additional sounds at frequensy range 80 - 300 Hz when VTX is connected in wideband mode.
