Equipment

Polycom Trio 8800 w/ Visual+

Ploycom Trio 8800 w/ VisualPro

Software Versions

Trios and Visual+ - 5.9.0.11421 (latest release wouldn't connect to Exchange server, I have documentation from vendor to fix this)

Updater Signature - Release

I am looking for a way to deploy configuration files to my test units. I have the 60-day trial version of PDMS-E right now (not sure why there isn't a forum for the Enterprise version), and instead of touching each phone individually as I have been, I'm looking to simply import a configuration file using PDMS to multiple devices at once.

I'm going to what I would believe is the obvious area in PDMS, clicking on Profile Deployment, I already created my Test Group, I click it, and I have "General"; "Device"; " and "Profile". When I click Profile, I just get "Configuration Profile Association". I'm not looking to associate a profile with the group.

Is there an area to select a group, and simply import a CFG file which will then take effect? I have to be missing something here. And do I need Cloud Relay for any of this? I will be managing up to 50 Trio 8800s and Trio+ in the near future, and trying to get a better understanding on how to touch all devices at once, rather than indvidually.

Thank you.

Hello @Kevin_A ,

Welcome back to the Poly Community.

Information regarding PDMS-E can be found => here <=

Automating this process to out of the box would require you to set up a DHCP Option to point to PDMS-E as shown >here<

You will find your tenant id under PDMS-E > Provisioning Settings > Provisioning Service Address

The address displayed would by your HTTPS server and as a standard, it uses PlcmSpIp as username and password.

Once the Trio is connected to PDMS-E you will see it within the Device Monitor.

You can then create or copy configuration via the Profile Configuration and then assign this using the Profile Deployment.

This can be per Device, Site , Device Model , Device Group or Global
