Content shared to a RPM on 3G broadband

When we use PPCIP 1.2.3 on the HDX in a call with the iPad using RPM 2.2-31634 there is a enormous quality difference between the use on WIFI and 3G. We use a 512k call in both cases. When we use a WIFI LAN connection the content is shown sharp on the iPad. When we use a 3G connection through our VBP-E the content shown is blurry and the icon showing the 3G signalstrenght goes red (very bad), when we stop sending content to the HDX the call signalstrenght goes back green and the videoquality is simmular to the WIFI LAN connection. In both case we had a 512k call.

Re: Content shared to a RPM on 3G broadband

Hello HanssensTelecom,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I assume other users coming into your network via the VBP-E do not have this issue and it is only via 3G?

Have you contacted your Mobile Phone network provider yet as they may throttle the traffic or impose other restrictions?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Re: Content shared to a RPM on 3G broadband

I added 2 attachments. 2 printscreens of the iPad.

One sharing content to the iPad on 3G. Here we have the PVRX channel having 100% packet loss.

One sharing content to the iPad on WIFI. Here we have an extra CVRX channel.

Is it normal on 3G braodband that we don't get an extra CVRX channel?

Who generates this? The Polycom RPM I suppose?
