Hello,

I have been running into an issue while trying to utilize iOS devices (iPhone 4s and iPad 2) on mobile networks such as 3G or 4G to connect with our Polycom Systems. We have had great success using RealPresence with WiFi, but can only get audio while utilizing mobile networks. I have tried changing the data speeds and still only get audio. Please advise!

Thanks!

Yes, our systems are registered with a CMA and utilize a RMX controller as well. I have had success utilizing a 3rd party app on iOS connecting an iPhone 4s with 4G to our Polycom Systems. As well as connecting an iPhone 4 over 3G to our Polycom Systems. So, I am concluding that it is an issue with a buggy app. I am interested in seeing what your solution is.

Hello,

are you using an VBPst as well?

I doubt the app is at fault. It is something Network related.

As you already own Polycom Equipment please raise a ticket with our support team.

Best Regards

After a little searching I found the deployment guide: http://downloads.polycom.com/video/realpresence_mobile/RPM_Deploy_Guide.pdf

Did the Deployment guide solve the problem?

We have been encountering problems over 4G with the RPM registering (H.323) to our CMA server thru VBP's.  It works if the local addresses assigned by the 4G network is a public address but when the local address assigned to the device is a private address and NAT'ed, the registration fails.  Apparently, the 4G network changes have increased causing this symptom to happen.   Switching H.323 OFF and SIP ON without a server allows the calls to complete.

When wil the RPM application support NAT for H.323 messaging, either MANUAL or AUTO???????
