I am trying to connect to VSX8000 that is a few states away.  I am using an iPad3 with all updates, but trying to connect to an VSX8000.  Unfortunately we only get audio in both directions.  The person on the other end has limited techincal abilities and I believe there might be a configuration issue on their end.  I tried to connecting to the Polycom test sites in Mass and was able to connect to all 3 without any issues.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Source: iPad3 on a NAT wifi net... H.323

Destinatiom: VSX 8000

Connection: audio only, but I need video

No gatekeeper or management server

Hello Rick,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Make sure you don't have basic mode on the VSX checked, while connected, check your system stats and see what the codec is trying to connect at.

 

It could also be a firewall issue, this has been discussed on many occasions within the community and the search or the release notes should help you.

I have the the Getting Started manual on the VSX, but unable to locate instructions how to locate the Basic Mode or the CODEC settings.  Can you provide me some instructions or the location of the .  I do not think it is a firewall issue becuase I can get audio without any issues, can connect to the test sites, but thinking it could be a setting on the distant end.
