Our Setup:
We have an On-Prem Skype for Business and a Hybrid Exchange Services. We utilize Microsoft Azure MFA and use Microsoft Authenticator app from our mobile phones for the 2nd-factor authentication. It basically prompts us to whether Approve or Deny the request.


Issue:
When using an account that is MFA disabled, we are able to login to Polycom phone through an authentication type "User Credentials" and everything is working including the Exchange services integration (Calendar and Voicemail). However, when using an account that is MFA enabled, the Exchange services integration won't function (see attached screenshot "EWS Error.jpg") though we can still login to SfB and call feature still functions.

We cannot also sign in into VVX phone when using "Web Sign-in" option on both MFA enabled and disabled accounts.

 

Questions:
-Is "Web Sign-in" option supports our current environment setup which is On-Prem Skype for Business?
-Is there anything to configure on server side to get Exchange Services Integration works on MFA enabled accounts?
-Is upgrading the Software to 5.8.1.6389 helps?

welcome to the Polycom Community.

 

Modern Authentication was added in UC Software 5.5.1 (ADFS) as shown in detail => here <=

 

This does not work for On Premise installations at present. I suggest you reach out to a Polycom Sales Engineer so they can update you on the Roadmap and potential Beta Versions.

Was MFA ever added to the VVX firmware to support environments that are Exchange Online and Skype for Business OnPrem?
