We recently bought 9 Polycom Trio 8800 with Visual+. We updated the UC Software version to 5.7.1.4133.

Since these devices are being used ONLY for internal video conferencing and our on premise Skype for Business has no external SIP-trunk, we will only be using the Skype for Business functionality and NOT the phone functions.

We found a solution to remove most buttons we don't need here and here.

There is however one function (reachable in 3 different ways) which we can't seem to disable : "Dial a Number".

1. This function is shown under the menu-button

2. It is also accessable via the contacts page where you have the same icon in the top-tabs.

3. In the bottom line on the home screen, there is a blue phone-icon with the devicename and when you tap this icon, you also reach the same function.

We would like to completely disable this function or hide all 3 ways of getting there. Obviously we need the contacts-button because we still need to connect to the other devices (via the address book) and the company skype users (also via the address book).

Anyone has an idea about this ?
