Hi again,

 

It seems that the 5.4.1 solves one of the issue we had with previous version when enabling linekey.reassignement and Boss/Admin at the same time.

But there is not much documentation on it and how to use it (the 5.4.1 admin guide still describes the classic flexible line key configuration)

Basically, we have a new setting : feature.flexibleLineKey.enable

But after that, how to push a specific configuration to the phone? Do we still have to use the lineKey.x.category and index ?  What is the category for Boss/Admin then?

Hello StephenR,

AS already discovered by yourself the new Enhanced Feature Line Key (EFLK)  was added to the 5.4.1 Release and is partially documented in the new Polycom® UC Software with Microsoft® Lync® Server and Skype for Business deployment guide starting at page 40 => here <= 

 

Enabling the feature via the feature.flexibleLineKey.enable="1" Parameter will add a new Menu to:

 

  • Menu => Settings => Basic

The above will show this new Feature:

Once you manually edited the new layout the phone will create a <macaddress>-sign-in-address.csv

 

Once you familiarize yourself with the new structure and layout you can use this as a template for other phones. I am currently on holiday and will add a FAQ post on this.
