Hello,

I'm trying to add an colour Expansion Module to my VVX601 (SfB Profile)

My configuration:

Phone:

Telefonmodell VVX 601
Teilenummer 3111-48600-001 Rev:A
MAC-Adresse 64:16:7F:0A:A0:8B
IP-Modus IPv4
IP-Adresse 192.168.137.123
UC-Softwareversion 5.7.2.1277
Updater-Version 5.9.2.1208

Expansion Module:
Part Number 2200-46350-025
Serial No. AP0A 13510211
Revision A

Skype Environment:
Skype for Business Online (Office365)

Problem Description:
After connecting the Expansion Module and powering up the phone, the LEDs (green/red) light up for a short moment.
After the Phone is up, I cannot add any contact to the Expansion Module. I am trying to use the procedure as explained here :
https://community.polycom.com/t5/Skype-for-Business/FAQ-Changing-re-assign-the-appearance-of-Line-an...

Menu Item #3 (Expansion Module Line Keys) does not show up at all.

Also, after adding a Background picture for the explansion module, nothing will be shown.
All in all, it looks like the module is not connected.

I tried to connect two different modules, none of them seems to be working.

I don't have any provisioning server configured for this phone yet, would prefere a solution that does not involve such.

Hello @redeye-Services,

There is no need to change any logging levels and as long as you use the originally supplied cabling and plug the expansion module into the AUX port on the VVX it should all work.

The next step would be to open a Pay Per Incident support ticket with Ingram Micro B.V. who sold the VVX as an example back in 13/02/2018 as the expansion module was sold by COMPLUS GMBH back in 09/01/2014

Maybe you purchased a broken Expansion Module?

Hello Steffen, thanks for your feedback,

I set the logging for EM to debug, however, not even one entry for EM. Which other module is involved on calling the EM process (or however that is called?)

Thanks and best regards

Daniel

Hello Steffen,

thanks for your answer, it turned out that the issue was cause by the phone. I have used a different phone, that is working now.

Best regards
