[FAQ] Enabling the Web Interface on a Polycom RealPresence Trio 8800

If a Polycom RealPresence Trio 8800 is purchased in LYNC base profile mode the Web Interface is automatically disabled for security reasons.

 

The Interface can be manually enabled but Polycom strongly recommends to change the default Admin Password as shown => here <=

 

Option 1:

 

In order to enable the HTTP or HTTPS Web Interface on the phone please go ahead as follows:

 

  • Press Settings Key

  • Select Advanced

  • Enter the Admin Password (default 456)

  • Select Administration Setting

  • Scroll down

  • Select Web Server Configuration

  • Enable Web Server
    Web Config Mode "should" be HTTPS only for added security

Option 2:

 

Simply provision the feature from the provisioning server:

		httpd.enabled="1"
	/>

 

 Above configuration and the attached file set HTTPS only
