Hello

Question on the Factory reset specifics, thats come from our Security team that need to understand what happens to the data on the phone.

Once reset are ALL references to the phones last config and data wiped and unrecoverable.  So network config, account used, user and root certificate downloads, and any user data/phone numbers etc, that were used on it??

Specific models being:

Trio8800
VVX201
VVX500
CX3000

Hello lync_54,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 10, 2011 Question: How can I reset / Factory default my Phones configuration?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above is applicable to the VVX & Trio phones. You can either factory restore or format the file system. The last needs a local provisioning server to enable the phone to load a software again.

In regards to the CX phones I believe pressing * and #on booting up should do the trick.

Polycom and other manufacturers produce these optimized for Microsoft® Lync® or Skype® for Business devices after a reference design and the embedded OS running on the phones is provided, supported and maintained by our partner Microsoft®.

You therefore may want to reach out to the Microsoft® community and / or Microsoft® support directly instead as this is the most direct and efficient path.

Polycom is unable to add any new features into the functionality of these CX Devices

Please try here

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
