I have three admins that need to know when their supervisors are on the phone via the vvx310. Each of supervisors has their admin set up as a delegate to receive calls and that works pretty good. Both phones ring and the admin is able to accept the call for the supervisor. What I need to be able to do is have the admin see when the supervisor is on the phone. When the admis added as a delegate the supervisor shows up as a line appearance on the vvx310 however there is not indicator that appears that communicates to the admin that the supervisor is on the phone. Both the admin and the supervisor have a vvx 310 by the way. What am I doing wrong here???

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

A red solid LED should indicate if they are on the phone and a flashing if they place a call on hold.

Thanks fo the reply, our users are all on firmware 5.4.5.6770 and again these are the Polycom VVX 310 phones so there are not color indicators like on the VVX 500s and 600s.

Hello Rwords,

Prior to this reply I did test this on my own VVX310 and it works with a red LED.

 

If this somehow does not work on yours or maybe you are not really using a delegate then I suggest you open a ticket.


In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post your phone's MAC address so I can look up who would be able to support you.

Appreciate the test you made. We must be missing somethign when it comes to delegates on these VVX Skype for business phones. We setup the delegates correctly in the Skype for business client, but couldn't get the names to show up as a line appearance on the phone. We added them as shortcut speed dials and that could be why there is no indicator light when they are on the phone. I"ll need to read up more on the boss admin set up.
