The community's Skype FAQ contains this post here:
Jan 17, 2017 Question:How can I troubleshoot simple Skype for Bussines, LYNC or Office365 issues?
Resolution: Have a look => here <=
You can utilize the above to create some basic logs and either try and fix your issue or post them here.
Once we determined that you may require official support we may advise to open a ticket.
In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.
If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Polycom Global Services
This is not a solution.
I spoke with a Polycom Support rep at ScanSource, and they told me specfiically that neither Polycom nor Microsoft has a plan to fix this. They both know that it is a bug from the way that Office 2016 for Mac creates the meetings, and there is nothing on a roadmap from either company to address. The only "fix" is to have the users create the meetings using OWA, or have someone else create the meetings for them that does not have a Mac.
again welcome back to the Polycom Community.
Did you ever solve your old issue => here <= ? I am unsure what post you are replying to but I already replied explaining the root cause of this.
In addition I am unsure who you did speak to but I am aware that we are trying to address this so please check the release notes of upcoming software releases.

I am referring to joining Skype for Business Meetings created from Office 2016 for Mac.
You can disregard the issue from the post from 3 years ago.
I spoke with ScanSource (a Polycom Partner), and was informed that because of the way the online meeting is rendered from a Mac with Office 2016, that the Trio does not translate it properly. Therefore, neither Polycom nor Microsoft has decided to fix this.
If you have other information that proves that otherwise, I would be grateful to update our Trios when the time comes so that it will now work without our Mac users to have to create meetings in OWA for every Online meeting that is joined by a Trio.
This issue has been resolved by Skype for Business Mac client v. 16.5.185, released on 03/28.
I have tested, and my Polycom VVX 410 and RealPresence Trio 8800 phones can join online meetings created from Outlook for Mac.
