Hi Community,

Rolling out new VVX411 and Trio 8800 and am facing a very strange issue.

Phones run on UC Software 5.6.0.17325

Basically common phones always get a random SIP address like:

53b1a3d1-17e7-4b1c-bb2f-d2238c6e6e07@mydomain.com

When trying pin authentication on either phones the log files show that the SIP address is cut short like:

53b1a3d1-17e7-4b1c-bb2f-d2238c6e6e07@mydomain.c

So the "OM" at the end is missing and that prevents the phone from signing in.

I have tried to manually shorten the SIP address through Active Directory objects and once shortened the phones sign in OK.

Has anyone come across this issue before? I feel like the SIP address is too long, the thing is it is automatically assigned by LYNC to any common pohones with the same length.

Thanks

Hi, my address is exactly 61 characters long and it cuts 2 off.

I have shortened my address by 2 and it started working.

So the maximum length of 61 is therefore incorrect?

Hello Sebastian,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

I believe I had a case about this and the limit from Microsoft was 61 characters for the UPN name.

The internal Polycom reference for this is VOIP-126683 and VOIP-125274 .

This was previously discussed => here <=
