Lync favorites status color on VVX LEDs and other questions

My Lync favorites w/status are showing on the idle screen of my VVX 410, but I am hoping to get the corresponding LED to show the status color as well.  Is this possible?

Also:

 

-It seems like I have to sign out/into the phone to see a refreshed list of favorites after making changes in Lync.  Is that normal?

 

-For non-Lync contacts (Outlook contacts) that I've added to my Lync favorites list, only the number displays on the screen--not the name.  Can this be changed to show the name?

 

Lync 2013
VVX 410 with 5.4.3.1 firmware
Paired using BTOE 3.3

welcome to the Polycom Community.

  1. To my knowledge the LED on the Phones does not reflect the Status of the Favorite as the LCD already shows this

  2. This should happen automatically without signing out and back in

  3. Again this should be shown

Can you check the details of the Diagnostics > Lync Status > Miscellaneous Info > ABS Server ?

 

The next step would be to contact your Polycom reseller and if the reseller is some internet discounter and is unable or unwilling to do this please provide me with a MAC address of one of the phones and I look this up."

Ok.  It would be nice if the LEDs reflected status also--it makes it more clear & easier to see which button to press when calling.  The status bars on the screen don't stand out as much. 

In the link you provided to the other thread--are you saying that problems 2 and 3 are both part of the same issue (ABS server) and that they are solved in 5.4.4.?

I looked at the ABS server settings and it is pulling the right values.  MAC is 00:04:F2:D5:55:1E

Any change to the standard software requires a Feature Request.

Please be aware the MAC 0004F2D5551E is a Standard VVX410 and does not automatically have the required per Device LYNC License so you are only allowed to evaluate the unit for 30 days using LYNC.

 

It was shipped via First Video Communications FVC back in 30/12/2015 so please ensure they raise a ticket for you with Polycom support so we can check for you Contact issue and also purchase the relevant License from FVC to cover your campus.

I have the UC License--I bought it from a separate vendor.

 

OK I will contact the vendor on the ticket, but what did you mean by the comment on 5.4.4?  Is that supposed to have something to do with this issue?

Hello rich,

 

as stated in the linked post UC Software 5.4.4 added a fix for a reported issue.

 

I am unsure if the other user ever tested 5.4.4 against his phone or if he contacted his reseller as advised but without Polycom support getting a chance to replicate customer issues we cannot fix issue in the field.

 

Next Steps:

 

  • Test 5.4.4
  • If 5.4.4 does not fix your issue please open a case via FVC and ensure you provide the proof of per device LYNC license.
