Are there any firmware releases ofr ANY Polycom phones that support MS Teams yet?

If so, is there a list of models and minimum firmware levels.

We have many partners deploying Polycom VVX phones who are desperate to move to MS Teams. These customers are currently using Skype for Business on their devices but Teams on their PCs and Laptops etc.

Thanks

Hello @Rus Yates-Aylott ,

welcome back to the Poly Community.

Trio UC Software 5.9.0 should be released today which adds Teams support for Audio Only calls.

The next CCX 500 and CCX 700 phones introduced => here <= will have full Teams support.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello Steffen,

I have updated one of our Trio 8500's 5.9.0 and I am not seeing anything that indicates I can connect to Teams. I also noticed that in the release notes that the phone needs to be in shared mode but it is not clear on how to put the phone into shared mode and checking Google and other Polycom documentation I have not found anything related to a "shared mode".

Edit - I found the setting in the web UI to change the base profile to 'Microsoft Teams'.

I am seeing terrible performance running under the Teams profile on our Trio8500 with the 5.9.0AA firmware. Seeing multisecond delay/lag on multiple different operations. Joining/disconnecting from team meetings, making calls, picking up calls, etc.

Is there anything that can be done to improve responsiveness? The lag on the phones make this essentially unusable.

When we switch the phone back into S4B proilfe and use it as a 3PIP device, we are seeing it disconnect from Teams meetings roughly every 10 minutes where it seems to lose connection to Microosft and has to relogin and resync everything before we can manually rejoin the call.

Do you know when the CCX series phones will be available? We have been using Yealink phones with Teams and they work great, but would prefer to use Polycom. Unfortunately, we can't wait forever for Polycom's new phones.

Hello @KTL65 ,

We cannot discuss future software Versions or hardware within the Community.

Poly, a US-based company, cannot share any future release dates or new features due to the requirement of non-disclosure agreement / NDA prior to this.

Via the medium of a community forum, we are unable to do this.

Yes,i faced the same lagging issue with the Trio after running Microsoft Teams.

The voice quality got no complaints after the connection with other members of the Team.

1.) Trio 8800 -- We updated one of our Trio 8800 to the latest version 5.9.0.11398 using the USB method. When we select the base profile as Microsoft Teams and phone restarts and shows the Microsoft Teams screen (see attached image). But when I try to signing it shows 'Connecting...' on a screen which shows heading as 'Company Portal'. This 'Connecting...' screen remains for a very long time (more than 20 min) and then it comes back with the message that "Company Portal isn't responding. Do you want to close it..?". I was never able to get past this message. So I switched back to the 'Skype for Business' in the base profile. 2) Trio 8800 -- Post July 1st, 2019, the "Skype for Business Online Plans" will not longer be available to subscribe to so switched our plans to "Office-365 Business Essential" which supports Microsoft Teams. So given the challenges in above point, where we are not able to login into Microsoft Teams on our Trio 8800, will we have issues post July 1, 2019? 3. Trio 8800 -- With the Oauth 2.0 changes coming in Jan 2020, wherein all the communication will be happen via the Teams App (instead of SfB) (see discussion on https://community.polycom.com/t5/Skype-for-Business/Microsoft-O365-OAuth-2-0/m-p/104351/highlight/fa...) For this to work, just updating the firmware to latest one be sufficient or do we actually need to set our base profile to 'Microsoft teams" for the phones to work with Microsoft Online plans? 4. VVX 300 -- We updated our VVX 300 phones to latest firmware, there we don't see an option for 'Microsoft Teams". Does that impact our phone past July 1, 2019? How do we login using Microsoft Teams on these VVX 300 phones. Thanks. Vivek
