Mixing Trio 8500 & 8800 firmware in the master config file

Hi All,

Does anyone know if we can *easily* differentiate between the different Trio firmware builds in the prov server?

Can we do something like this (see the attached image) with the Master config file and keep a totally separate structure for each? (I don't have an 8500 to test with unfortunately, otherwise I'd be able to answer this question myself).

Thanks,

Greig.

Hello @greiginsydney,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Simply have a look at the 000000000000.cfg and how we do this for the so called legacy phones.

I also explain this here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: What is the relevance of the 000000000000.cfg or <mac>.cfg?

Thanks Steffen, that appears to confirm that my mockup is a valid approach, which is reassuring.
