Need help with S4B license. Please help!

We recently purchase the S4B license for our VVX 310 phone. When it say to record serial number of the received product, is tha tthe MAC address of the polycom phone? I accidently activated a bunch under a wrong serial # then, how do I undo the activation then? Please help! Greatly appreaciated for any help! Thanks!

welcome to the Polycom Community.

 

There is no requirement to match the individual license to a MAC address. Please simply ensure you have the right amount of licenses for the phones that are not a Skype for Business (-019) or LYNC (-018) SKU.

Sorry but I'm so confuse. What is the "serial #" then? How do I know which license to import for each phone. Right now, I accidently put the Polycom software license as the serial # and activated 3 license under that license code. I'm guessing I did this wrong but no idea where is the "delete" button! Please help!

Hello @bostonstronge,

 

there is nothing to activate at all. You must have the right amount of licenses to use the non Skype for Business SKU if we audit you in case you have a case open with Polycom support.

 

The use of Polycom UC Software versions 4.1.X (“Software”) requires the purchase of a separate Software license for every device that will use the Software in a Lync / Skype for Business environment. You may not install, access, or use the Software in a Lync / Skype for Business environment on more devices than are listed on your license until additional licenses have been purchased and authorized by Polycom. These licenses should be purchased from the same company from which you purchased the devices. You may operate devices against a Lync / Skype for Business server for trial purposes for up to 30 days without purchasing a license. Use of the Software is subject to the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement. 

Polycom reserves the right to audit your deployment to verify that you have sufficient licenses to match the number of devices being used.

oh... then we are having issue where the polycom BTOE is not working with the VVX 310. It's not pairing. Both using version 3.8. Can you help please?

as if there is no registration needed, that mean we do not need to upload any license file correct? Then we are not sure why BTOE is not working. It worked for about 30 days.. then it stopped working after. Manuel pairing does not work either. So confuse on this S4B setup. Please help.

Please use the community search and FAQ's to attempt to troubleshoot this. In addition other users may be able to help you.

 

If this all fails open a ticket with your reseller.


In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Polycom devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.

If the unit is no longer within warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here
