Hello,

Just purchased the Polycom RP trio to try out in our SfB conference rooms. Got it set up witch SfB (on prem) and got that to work as well. The only thing I can't figure out is the sharing feature, how can a use share stuff from their computer? Tried using the USB and opened the People + Content IP software and got it to display my screen, but people attending the online meeting could not see any content.

Also tried calling the room directly and shared my screen with it, same result there. Is there a way to share stuff from a computer/tablet/phone to the online meeting from the RealPresence Trio?

Hello hagga,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

Please also include if you are using a SIP server or a LYNC / Skype for Businessserver

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

It would also be of interest what Skype Client Version you are using.

 

Usually you "call / Chat" the Device and use the option shown below:

Hello,

 

I tried sharing my desktop using call/chat and that display my desktop on the RealPresence Trio, but it only display the content local on the RealPresence, not the others in the conference call. Same with People + Content IP that is installed locally on the device.

 

Running Skype for business client version 15.0.4815.1000 64 bit, Skype for Business Server and RealPresence Trio 8800 version 5.4.3.2007.

You need to open a service ticket with your Polycom reseller so Polycom support can have a look at this.

 

If the reseller is some Internet discounter and is unable or unwilling to do this please provide me with a MAC address of one of the phones and I look this up.

I opened a ticket and got connected to a local partner. They said that the feature doesn't exist in the Polycom so I guess that is that.

I am unsure who you spoke to but the Trio supports as follows:

 

  • Point to Point call aka someone calling the Trio and then sending content to the Trio it will display

  • Point to Multipoint aka AVMCU meet now conference call someone sending content to everybody the Trio will display the received content.

Does this Polycom video not say that People & Content IP will display the content on both the local and remote screens?

The Video explains that this is in a RealPresence or OpenSIP environment.
