Remove Dial 911 from Lock Screen

Hello,

I have the following scenario already happen twice and 911 showed up to the building.

Phone Model: VVX401  - Skype Version

Firmware: 5.8.0.12848

1. User signs in with Skype username and password.

2. When phone is locked there are 2 options, Forgot and Call.

3. When a person clicks CALL it shows 911 and a DIAL button replaces the CALL one in the same location.

4. Is is possible to either

  • Remove the call button and just use the speaker one to make calls?
  • Add a different number instead of 911 to dial?
  • Remove 911 from the list after pressing call.

welcome to the Polycom Community.


The VVX Phones are 3PIP qualified from our Partner Microsoft so certain features or behaviors are requested by Microsoft.

 

The VVX Phone when locked:

 

  • Lifting the Handset will allow you to dial any number
  • Pressing the Loudspeaker Key will allow you to dial any number
  • Pressing the Call softkey will present a list controlled by the Skype for Business Server

If the lock feature is restricting your users simply disable it:
