We have 1500 new VVX phoones and they will get the latest 5.4 firmware via the SFB push.

We want the default sign in to be via PIN authentication.  What is the easiest way can this be done on 1500 phones?

Also, if PIN authentication is used, will the user still need to enter other credentials for Exchange sync?

BToE is an option for some users but not all.

Thanks.

DHCP option 43 is set with the SFB DHCPUtil tool.

Yes phones must be signed in to pick up the new firmware.

Hello Jake,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Having the correctly setup Option 43 in your DHCP Scope will trigger the phone to use PIN and Extension sign in.

Exchange requires the login names and is not supported via Pin & Extension so that would need manual interaction.

Simply install BToE and the LYNC client would trigger the sign in process.

Thanks.

The DHCP Option 43 was set up using the DHCPUtil from SFB.

Is this what is required?

In addition to this, does a phone need to be signed in to check for new firmware from the SFB server?
