Trio 8800 - no directory in Meet Now

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the config options are to show allow searching against the skype Adress book when you start a "Meet Now"

We have 9 Trios and when we go into Meet Now and the wish to add someone in you have to know their extension - or use the drop down menu to select contacts then start a new call and merge the calls together. If I click on the "+" to add within a Meet Now conference I only see dialpad, call log (recent, received and missed) and the calendar options. (screen shot attached)

Thanks,

Sam

Re: Trio 8800 - no directory in Meet Now

Hello Sam LW,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hello Sam LW,

I tested this using the same software and I have the directory.

Do you have any other issues ?

Re: Trio 8800 - no directory in Meet Now

Hi,

No - there are no other issues with them, they work fine in every other way except this directory issue. I get the directory when I click on "directories" - just not in 'Place a call' or 'Meet Now' which is very odd.

I would attach my config - but this site doesnt like it!

Thanks,

Sam

Re: Trio 8800 - no directory in Meet Now

Hello Sam LW,

There are restriction what kind of files you can attach, Simply rename into text or ZIP it.

Most likely our support team needs to see this.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post your phone's MAC address so I can look up who would be able to support you.

Re: Trio 8800 - no directory in Meet Now

Hello Sam LW,

looking at your configuration there are many parameters either incomplete or not relevant for the Trio.

I suggest the following:

  • Factory Reset the Unit
  • Simply import any certificate you require
  • Sign into LYNC either using Pin & Extension or Single Sign in

Once you verified that all of the above is working start with the configuration.

If this still fails please open a support ticket.
