Hello,

I have a Lync 2013 deployment and VVXX 411 phones on the following version: 5.4.4.3041, which generally works correctly.

The problem I have is that I cannot set a custom ring type for the boss I manage call for:

  • "John Doe" has correctly configured simultaneous ringing to me on Lync 2013
  • I go to "Settings -> Basic -> Ring Type -> Boss Ring Type -> John Doe"
  • The selected ring type is "Low Trill", I select another ring type for example "High Trill"
  • When "John Doe" gets a call and my VVX 411 rings, the ring tone is still "Low Trill"
  • When I select again "John Doe", the ring type is indeed reset to "Low Trill", I select again "High Trill"
  • I press back and when I re-select John Doe the ring type is reset to "Low Trill"
  • etc

Do you know what could be wrong? Maybe a server-side setting preventing this change?

Thanks,

Giacomo

So I've eventually found out that if the customised line keys is enabled then it is not possible to set the boss ring type.

In order to have customised boss ring type one has to set the following (which is the default):

feature.flexibleLineKey.enable="0"

Cheers,

Giacomo

Hello Giacomo,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I am not aware of any issue and we would need to replicate this in house. As this may depend on your overall configuration and us maybe needing some accounts to test please go ahead and raise a support ticket.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. In case this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post your phone's MAC address so I can look up who would be able to support you.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
