Hi,

We have a running SQmediator platform and we'd like to send VQmon report to it.

I configured the following :

 voice.qualityMonitoring.collector.enable.session         1
 voice.qualityMonitoring.collector.server.1.port         5060
 voice.qualityMonitoring.rfc6035.enable         1
 voice.qualityMonitoring.rtcpxr.enable         1
 voice.qualityMonitoring.collector.server.1.address         10.250.65.25

But i have no SIP publish message at the end of the call. Am i missing something? (there is not a lotf of documentation on that)

What log module should i use, in addition to the SIP one, to check if it's ok?

Thanks for any help

Stephen

It is helpful to include what UC version and what SIP server or Lync/SfB version you are using.

I don't belive VQMon works when using the Lync base profile on any currently supported UC versions.

Hello StephenR,

From the UC Sofware 5.4.0 Admin Guide page 217

  • This feature is available for open SIP and is not available with Lync Server.

Sorry for that, I'm using 5.3.2 and Skype for Business 2015 (5.4 is unuseable in production)

I can't see anything in the 5.3 admin guide saying that it's not supported with Lync.

If VQmon is not an option, then what do we have to monitor voice quality given the fact that integration with Lync QoE reports is also not supported??

Thanks

Correction, it's mentioned in 5,3 guide too.

So we are blind i guess 😞

We'll have to change to another brand then, that's too bad.

Thanks anyway

Hello StephenR,

  • 5.3.x is not Skype for Business certified so it is not supported.

  • 5.4.0.A (5.4.0.10182) is certified and it would be of interest if you are running that and what issue you suffer and if you have reported any of these via your Polycom reseller to Polycom support.

QoE is currently not supported by our LYNC / Skype for Business certified phones and I am unable to discuss the future roadmap due non disclosure agreement being required to be in place.

Well, Steffen, you probably know that 5.4 is not an option if you have a significant number of phones (which is our case) as the upgrade is simply not transparent at all, even using the new tz options.

So i appreciate your feedback but quite honestly, that was not my question, because with or without support, we have no way to monitor quality which is really a blocking point.
