All services are hosted in the cloud regarding O365 and SfB.  All internal users have the necessary PSTN licenses to make and receive calls from their polycom phone and skype client.  However, we have a handful of sales users that do not have a polycom phone.  We also did not assign them a SfB PSTN license.  Their contact card has their mobile number as their primary line.  Whenever an internal user tries to call a sales user on their VVX phone (using their SfB contact), it attempts to ring the sales users SfB client and not their cell phone (which is explicitly listed in their contact card as their primary line).  If the Sales user is not logged into SfB, the call gets dropped immediately. This leads me to believe that when you select a contact card on the polycom phone, its automatically attempting to dial the SIP address of the contact and completely bypassing any other phone numbers in the contact card.

 

Is there any way around this?? Therefore if the receiving user does not have a PSTN license (Sales), calls coming from internal polycom phones will dial out to their actual cell phone instead of attempting a SIP dial.

Hi SteffenBaierUK,

 

In some instances, these are pinned favorites.  And you are correct, holding down the contact name does include a list of available numbers.  Another way to dial is going through the Contacts group and selecting the user from there.  However, it defaults to their SIP address instead of their primary phone number listed.

this is currently the only supported method and any change to this would require a feature request.

Thank you.  I am working on ways around this but it looks like it heavily relies ont he propper licenses applied.  Thank you again for your help
