I have a few VVX 600s and when you use the keypad on the physical phone for example you start typing a number 503-123 Pause for about 3 seconds or longer and the phone trys to dial that number when i need to enter 4 more digits it trys to auto call way too fast for our CEO and he wants his timer to be longer.

I have played with the Digitmap Timeout under SIP on the configuration web page and got no where.

Any help or ideas on how to do this?

We are using Lync 2013 right now..

UC Software Version 5.5.0.20556 Updater Version

5.7.0.18267

Thanks in advanced!

Hi there,

Pretty common reqeust, someone frustrating to get what you need out of the admin guide for the VVX (Opinion).

Here is how I have changed my VVXs on/off hook dialing timeouts to 15 seconds when using Lync:

On Hook:

dialplan.userDial.timeOut="15"

Off-Hook:

dialplan.1.digitmap.timeout="15|15|15|15|15|15|15|15|15|15|15|15"

dialplan.1.lyncDigitmap.timeOut="15"

Change the 15s to whatever timeout you need. For the off-dialing, each of the "15s" in sequence is how long it will wait after each digit press, starting from left to right.

So for example if you wanted to have 15 second pauses in between each digit, but once the person hits the 11th digit to dial almost immediatley, you could do something like:

dialplan.1.digitmap.timeout="15|15|15|15|15|15|15|15|15|15|1"

I hope it helps you.
