We're having trouble Exchange authentication when logging in to the VVX 411 (and others) via the Web Sign-in interface on the phone.  Software is 5.5.1.11526.  My account is in the cloud, not on prem.

When I first login in via this method, I get the Lock Code prompt, as well as a Warning that my Exchange authentication failed.  I can Cancel the warning, and my Favorites contacts pop up.  When I then go to the Calendar menu option, I get the same authentication warning, and it doesnt show my Calendar.

No issues with authentication or calendar working when using the User Credentials login on the phone, or when using the SfB Sign-in from the web interface.  This only occurs when using the Web Sign-in functionality.  And of course, this is what we want our users to use going forward.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Alan

Hello Alan,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

I am not sure I can 100% follow you.

One time you say you are using the web interface to sign in and it fails and another time you state using the SfB interface via the Web and it works.

I suggest you provide at least some logs:

Jan 17, 2017 Question:How can I troubleshoot simple Skype for Bussines, LYNC or Office365 issues?

Resolution: Have a look => here <=

You should really log this with support.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Thanks Steffen, I will see about logging a ticket as you suggested.

Regarding the login method, my apologies if I mis-stated.  You can log in directly on the phone with either option 1 User Credentials, or option 2 Web Sign-in (directs you to a website, and uses a pairing code).  Additionally, you can connect to the phone from a pc via an http interface.

Only the Web Sign-in method is showing the authentication issue.

I have the same problem. Model VVX 411 running 5.8.0.19248

Using option 2 Web Sign-in results in a successful sign in, but an "Exchange authentication failed" error when accessing the calendar.

Using option 1 User Credentials results in a successful sign in, and a working Exchange calendar.

Why does the Web Sign-in option break the Exchange calendar? Thanks for any help!

Hello @IASJohn,

welcome to the Polycom Community. The software you provided is not a currently known software.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Ah correct - I was looking at the Updater version by mistake. UC Software Version is 5.6.0.17325

Still need an answer to my question if possible.

Is there any way to get it working?

Hi IASJohn

Did you find a fix for this as we have the same issue with Web Sign-in

Thanks

Edd
