Polycom introduced the VVX D60 Wireless DECT handset recently, can somebody explain me how to use this wireless handset in combination with Skype for Business ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Roderick

Hello Roderick,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The D60 requires a compatible VVX phone as shown => here <=

Once the phone is publicly available I will add a FAQ post on this.

You simply "share" the resources of a VVX with the D60 and program the registrations for the DECT Handset's via the VVX Web Interface.

Hello Steffen,

Thank you for your reply.

Just to make sure I understand you correctly, in order to give a Skype for Business user wireless Voice connectivity I need a VVX IP phone (VVX 300, VVX 400, VVX 500) and a VVX D60 DECT ?

Regards,

Roderick

Hello Roderick,

Yes the VVX itself will communicate with the Base Station and offer the DECT handsets.

Are you sure the VVX D60 supports Skype for business?

Looking at the 5.4.3 firmware it says that it doesn't support SFB

Hello davidavice,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Yes you are correct. Unfortunately the initial D60 launch did not yet include Lync / Skype for Business support.
